Ferdi‘s Postwar Black 4×4 Rolleiflex. Around 4500 Black cameras were made. A Selenium exposure meter is attached to a dedicated lens hood mounted on the taking lens. The shutter release button is like the Rolleiflex T. Note that the camera has no serial number on the top of the Rolleiflex name shield. Perhaps the original was replaced for a spare shield. Ferdi‘s Postwar Black 4 by 4 Rolleiflex with its dedicated Bayonet I lens hood. Around 4500 Black cameras were made. The shutter release button is like the Rolleiflex T. The Bayonet I 4×4 lens hood has a large cut-out to keep clear of the viewing bayonet. Note that the camera has no serial number on the top of the Rolleiflex name shield. Perhaps the original was replaced for a spare shield. Rolleiflex 4×4 cm Serial Numbers
Ferdi’s Rolleiflex 4×4, with a standard Rolleinar 3 in Bayonet I. The ASA and DIN scales are reminders only, the 4×4 has no built-in lightmeter. This side of the shutter shows some aperture/shutter speed sets like 22/30 and 16/60. The aperture ring can be pushed to make changes in the EV and thus in the sets. After letting go of the ring the setting is locked. By turning the rings a different set of aperture/shutter speed can be selected against the triangular mark. 11/125 is selected. EV is the exposure value read from a light-meter. Rolleiflex 4×4 cm Rolleinars
Ferdi‘s black Rolleiflex 4×4 cm. De red numbers are exposure values (EV). An EV can be read from a light-meter. The EV is set on the camera and the desired aperperture/shutter speed combination can be chosen at the opposite side of the shutter. Rolleiflex 4×4 cm Exposure Values (EV) Service and repairs
Ferdi‘s black Rolleiflex 4×4 cm with the Rolleilux Selenium Sulphide light-meter. ISO or better ASA or DIN is set, the follower needle is matched with the meter needle and the EV (in red) can be read. The EV number is set on the camera (red numbers). The opposite side of the shutter shows a number of aperture/shutter speed sets to chose from. Rolleiflex 4×4 cm Exposure Values (EV) Links
